Lakshmi Rai SpecialVaamanan is a action thriller film directed by debutant I. Ahmed, who worked as an erstwhile assistant to Kadhir, and starring Jai and newcomer Priya Anandh in lead roles. Produced by R. Ravindran of Dream Valley Corporation, the film features Rahman, Lakshmi Rai, Urvashi, 'Thalaivaasal' Vijay in supporting roles and is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the camera is handled by Arvind Krishna. The film now is in it's post production stage and is slated for an April release.


Naan Avanillai 2 is directed by Selva. It is a second part of film Naan Avanillai. Jeevan doing the lead role and the female roles are did by Sangeetha, Lakshmi Rai, Shweta Menon and Hema Malini, who starred in the film Indira Vizha. Imman, who did the background score for the first part of the film, will replace Vijay Antony as the music director. The film is currently in its production stage and slated for a late 2009 release


Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam - this upcoming film directed by Simbudevan, who earlier directed the comedy films Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi and Arai Enn 305-il Kadavul, choreographer-turned-actor Lawrence Raghavendra, Sandhya, Lakshmi Rai and Padmapriya in lead roles.
Muthirai is starred by Nithin Sathya, Daniel Balaji, Lakshmi Rai and newcomer Manjari Phadnis, whilst Kishore of Polladhavan fame plays an important role and Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant makes a special appearance. Directed by Srinath and produced by Aneez Jeeva, wife of late director Jeeva. The film is expected to be released in 2009.

LHC Orders To Block Facebook Till May 31

LAHORE, Pakistan News

: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday ordered to block Facebook till May 31 which encourges members to draw Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) caricatures. Justice Ejaz Chaudhry said that the government should record its protest at international level.

Hearing a petition regarding blasphemous page on Facebook, Chaudhry Zulfiqar Advocate said that Facebook hurt the emotions of Muslims with the publication of said page about blasphemous caricatures but the government became a silent spectator.
Deputy Attorney General Naveed Inayat Malim said that PTA has blocked the blasphemous link of Facebook. Director Telecom Mudassar Hussain said that there would be great loss after the complete closure of Facebook. Lawyers and civil society representatives protested the statement of Director Telecom.
The government yesterday had directed the PTA on the orders of LHC to block the blasphemous caricatures link on Facebook. After the directive, the PTA took necessary steps and blocked the link on Facebook.
